- Structure principle
The glove box is mainly composed of two parts: the main box and the transition room. If the user has other special requirements, it can also be designed and manufactured according to the needs.
There are two (or more) glove operation interfaces on the main box, which are distributed in the front (or front and back) of the box. This makes the operation box can be operated by one (or several) people at the same time, improving the efficiency of the box. In addition, there are observation windows in the front (or front and back) of the box, so that the operator can clearly observe the operation process inside the box.
The valve of the transition chamber has a pumping and filling nozzle, which can be accessed when pumping or filling is needed. The main chamber is also equipped with a valve and connection nozzle, which is used by the user when the air pressure balance needs to be maintained. A fluorescent light is installed above the front viewing window of the main chamber.
The transition chamber is used as a transition space between the main chamber and the outside of the chamber, which is composed of two sealed doors and two valves as well as a chamber. The two doors inside and outside can effectively isolate the main chamber from the outside world, so that things inside and outside the chamber can go in and out of the main chamber isolated from the atmosphere, thus avoiding the trouble of repeatedly vacuuming and inflating the main chamber.
- Operation steps
Open the packing box, first check whether there is any loosening of the combined parts on the vacuum glove box during transportation. If there is loosening, please tighten the corresponding screws, and then you can try vacuuming.
First, the methods of vacuuming and inflating put
- The product is divided into two parts: the main box and the transition room. The main box body can’t be vacuumed alone, but the transition room can be vacuumed alone.
- Open the door inside the transition room first, then close all the glove interface gland, valve and the door outside the transition room.
- Open the three-way valve between the glove port (rotate counterclockwise) and connect the space between the glove interface gland and the glove to the box, so that the vacuum is pumped inside and outside the glove (box and interface) at the same time when pumping to keep the air pressure balance on both sides.
- The vacuum pump will be connected to a valve in the transition room, turn on the vacuum pump, slowly open this valve, pumping the system (such as opening the valve too fast, may cause the glove expansion).
- When the pointer of vacuum gauge drops and stabilizes at -0.1MPa, the vacuum pumping is finished, then the valve should be closed first and then the vacuum pump.
- Then fill the inert gas into the box through another valve until the air pressure is a little higher than the atmospheric pressure (the index of the barometer is 0, so that the pressure inside and outside the box is basically balanced, and the inside is slightly higher than the outside, which can ensure that the atmosphere will not penetrate into the inside of the box (if you want to make the gas inside the box more pure, it is better to repeat the above pumping and inflating process several times). Close the three-way valve connected to the glove interface, open the gland on the glove interface, you can operate.
Second, the object into and out of the main box methods
- the object into the main box method: When you complete the above operation, such as the need to put the object into the main box, please first close the inner door of the transition room, open the outer door of the transition room, the object into, and then close the outer door, using the transition room on the two valves for pumping and inflation. Be sure to make the main box and the transition room pressure and atmospheric pressure basic balance, in order to open the door inside, the object will be taken into the main box.
- the main box inside the object out of the method: first put the object into the transition room, close the transition room door. If the air pressure in the transition room is basically balanced with the atmospheric pressure, you can open the door outside the transition room to take out the object.
