The NEW nEXT85D pumps 84 liters per second (l/s) and has an ultimate pressure of 5×10-9 Torr and has a ISO63 LF63 inlet and ISO KF-16 exhaust fore line flange. The nEXT85D turbomolecular pump builds upon the success of the EXT75DX to deliver a pump with significantly improved performance in a smaller package. The rotor has been totally re-designed to optimize pump performance and achieve both higher speeds and higher compression while maintaining high levels of reliability. In addition to enhanced performance the nEXT85D benefits from the same service and operational functionalities from the larger nEXT range, including field serviceability and in-built intelligence, for a truly class leading product.
The nEXT85D pump consists of a turbomolecular pump with a permanently attached motor controller containing drive electronics. The motor controller controls the electrical supply to the pump. It allows manual adjustment of standby speed, all other controls can only be operated through the logic interface. To operate the nEXT85D pump, connect it to the customer control equipment and power supply or, alternatively, use the Edwards TIC or TAG Turbo Instrument Controllers for panel controls and pressure indications, sold separately.
